A young man with great determination and a wonderful enthusiasm to motivate the current students to dare to dream, and to work hard to achieve that dream.
Erasto obtained an excellent Division 2 pass at form 4 despite the very tough conditions in those years: students sharing one text book amongst 5 and no teachers for much of the time.
He graduated with Diploma of Electrical Engineering in 2013 and he could do it because of a Fostering Futures sponsorship. Since then he has “had the light to go forward” and has just graduated with a Degree in Electrical Engineering which he paid for himself by working and studying together.
His final year project is best described by a Facebook comment: “HAH!! That’s bloody brilliant! Using an electric car seat for a mobility scooter… allowing the recline etc for comfort or a cat nap… what a great idea.”
Others agreed and on July 26, 2017, Erasto, the boy from Farkwa, was honoured to present his project to the President of Tanzania.
